Well I was a bit fast throwing in the test code to you, 
but moving the cache option up and experimenting with timezones
showed me that gcj compiled source thought that I was in
"atlantic/azors" which is GMT-2 and I am in CEST which right now
is GMT+2 (summertime).
I have a couple of more peculiarities to report about http
getdate and parse but it will have to wait until I have
tested further.
