AFAIK, several fixes and enhancements to iconv support only went in after
3.0 was released. Most likely it hadn't been configured before and now is,
so you are seeing those messages unless the platform's iconv support is
fully installed/functional.
Btw, I have now confirmed that installing IOSWWBASE510 on Tru64 UNIX V5.1
makes the message go away since the necessary conversion libraries are now
installed.
