JNI field validation?

I looked a bit more and it looks like the problem instead has to do
with class initialization. Using the debugger I can see that the
field's type isn't correctly set, so the code in _Jv_JNI_GetAnyFieldID
never finds the field.
I'll see if I can debug this more a bit later.
