Apparently, one of these flags causes problems: --enable-threads=posix --enable-shared --enable-fast-character --with-as=/opt/gnu/bin/as --with-ld=/opt/gnu/bin/ld  I imagine it's --enable-fast-character, I can't see where any of the others would be a problem. Thanks
