I'm trying to build a version of the gcc than includes the gcj and java
libraries. When I run 'make bootstrap', it dies with the following
message
../../../gcc/libjava/gnu/gcj/xlib/natClip.cc:33: parse error before `('
token
make[3]: *** [gnu/gcj/xlib/natClip.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory

make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

`/usr/local/gcc_cvs/objdir/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libjava'
make[1]: *** [all-target-libjava] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/gcc_cvs/objdir'
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
I did a complete download of the CVS tree today 1/12/2001 ('cvs -z 9 co
gcc'), so all my src should be the most recent.
I'm running Linux, SuSE 6.4, kernel 2.2.14 on an ix86 hardware ; my
current version of gcc is Gcc Version 2.95.2 19991024 (Release)
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Is there an older version (of
something) that I should download to get a working gcj? My immediate
need is to compile Java classes that contain inner classes.
Regards and thanks,
