Hi Tom,
Thank you for the responses and I appreciate it. The two issues I asked
you, "Dynamic dependency analysis; Minimal compilation" I was not also
sure, but thought you might know something on them. Anyway, they are not
that important

You mean shared libraries? You can build libgcj statically. There
may be some warts there, though, as people don't regularly test this.
