CVS read access broken???

Well, its a mystery. If I do a CVS in an empty directory I start getting the
whole gcc source
tree, but if I do the same in a directory that last week allowed me to
update, now I sits there
for 5 minute and then returns having downloaded nothing.
Maybe tonight I will just blow the directory away and start from scratch.
