There shouldn't be any need to explicitly mention .libs directories.
I'm yet to investigate why it appears to be needed. Libtool should
take care of adding this flag by itself, when necessary.
But I won't oppose a patch to move it to the beginning, until I have
time to figure out exactly what's going on.
