BTW I have a better patch which I am now testing. My new patch should
allow iconv to work on both Red Hat 6.2 and Red Hat 7.0 systems (and
presumably any others as well). The new patch attempts to determine
dynamically whether iconv uses the native endianness or big-endian
format for UCS-2.
