I tried your test cases using the latest gcc and I don't see the problem. Compiling from either .class or .java files and it works
fine. Looks like this bug may be specific to 2.95.2.
The quality of the gcc snapshots varies from day to day, but recently I have not seen any major problems. The snapshot from today is
working fine for me.
