Well. There's not really a way to test it without actually doing
it. The repository is off. If you try to commit a change, you'll get
an error message.

 gcc.gnu.org:/cvs/java is now a read-only repository. It is not
 possible to commit changes, or tag files in this module.
 This repository is about to be moved over to the gcc tree:
