I just noticed recently that we don't compile the .java files with
optimization on by default. That should change.

Could you provide details? This shouldn't have to be done.

No - that's ok. I'm pretty sure the solution to everyone's problems
is to upgade to the latest binutils in cvs. I have to check some old
mail first though.
