VM Interface

Hello,
You have mentioned that the runtime for egcs is based on the
the Kaffe source.
We would like to try out a short experiment by changing our
virtual machine (a custom, experimental one) to support your
format.
I have downloaded egcs. I am trying to study the assembly code
output by it. I notice that the requirements placed by the output
code are not too much for an other VM to support. There seems to
be some assumptions about the internal structure of the Class,
method and field info - and may be some simple routines for
allocation, initialization, etc. We could probably change the dump
routines to suit our meta data and provide interface to these
routines.
* Have I missed anything?
* Is there something specific to Kaffe that is used by gcj?
* Is it possible for you to specify the curent interface specification
to a JVM? (I understand that it may not be frozen - Nevertheless).
Regards
Geetha
