This is on our Yorick machine, after I got Linpack to compile in -O2,
debug turned off and no array bounds checking:

Yorick is a Linux 686/299BogoMips box with 128MB RAM. Similar
speed-up was shown at the ESC Europe demo, wrapped around some
graphics.
