The sources are in gcc/java. `gcj' is just the name of the resulting
executable.
I don't think the java compiler is in egcs 1.1. I think you'll have
to get egcs from the cvs repository to see the java front end. Maybe
I'm wrong? I don't really pay attention to the egcs release cycle.

No, in fact I'm saying the opposite: we currently have C++ support
working (that is, `native' methods can be written in a natural way in
C++). We don't currently have JNI support.

We currently have, with some minor exceptions, java.lang, java.util,
and java.io. We also have a few other random things (e.g., a couple
classes in java.lang.reflect, but not all of them). We don't have
java.awt.
I don't really know what other libraries we are planning to write.
Of course you're always free to implement them yourself.
