Cannot upgrade VM from Windows 10 to Windows 11

I want to upgrade my Windows 10 virtual machine to Windows 11. The PC integrity check reports: The processor is currently not supported for Windows 11: Intel Core i7 3770K CPU @ 3.5 GHZ

Is this processor really too old or does it have something to do with the properties of the virtual machine?

The virtual machine is running under openSUSE Leap 15.6, Vortual Box Version: 7.1.4
