I have an iPod Touch. I have a few (a lot) of playlists. Does the shuffle algorithm remove songs longer than say 15 minutes? I have this playlist for when I get a 90 minute massage. I hate their music so I bring my own. I’ve been doing this for years. I have about 10 pieces in this playlist than exceed 15 minutes. These are NEVER played. I even saw the second song up on the playlist was a classical piece 41 minutes. Sure enough iPod bypassed it. Is there a command somewhere that filters shuffle settings?

I don't have an iPod touch, but there may be a 'skip when shuffling' option for each song. I'd see whether thus is set on the songs on your computer. There may be a default in iTunes, or whatever program you use, that sets this for songs over a certain length.
One simple idea is to not use shuffle but just play the playlist, which is the idea of playlists.

I know this half a year old but I’ll reply anyway. Not for me. I am always using the playlists - IN SHUFFLE mode. I still like to be surprised by what song is next. My playlists are typically 200-500+ songs. I don’t want to hear them in the same order.
