They calculate the directional gain of each transmission to direct the antenna sector towards the direction of the transmission.
On the other hand, the directional gain of microwave cavity antennas (1) is rather small, since it is not easy to build a short-backfire antenna (SBFA) (2) with a directivity larger than approximately 17 dBi.
It is less frequency sensitive than the Yagi antenna, which makes it promising for television reception.[1-6] Metallic parts, the feed fingers, that connect the zig-zag antenna to the inner conductor of the coaxial transmission line have been investigated.[7,8] This article provides an expression for the directional gain for a zig-zag antenna in order to investigate the effect of the number of V-configured sections of the antenna on the gain.
