Hornady s new Flash Hole
Deburr Tool is similar to a flash hole deburring tool that I've used for nearly 30 years.
The time it takes to
deburr a casting is a function of the type of machine, the power of the machine's pump, the sophistication of the nozzle tooling and, most importantly, the number of features that need to be
deburred.
* Then measure back one inch from the nose on both the top and bottom and drill two more 1/16-in holes and

After trimming the cases to the same, uniform length, setting the tool up to
deburr the case mouth is easily accomplished because it works the same as a flash hole deburring tool.
The problem faced by the shop was how to
deburr the holes on the backside of the hub.
Powered abrasive brushes used to
deburr metal extrusions and castings are now being used to
deburr thermoformed products after trimming.
Hircis was originally created to
deburr Department of Energy (DOE) parts for nuclear weapons systems.
The Tri-Ten series is designed to
deburr both sides of a part in a single pass.
The double-head, flow-through, short part deburring system can
deburr parts ranging from 1" to 7.5" long.
I need to find a quicker way to
deburr off-line, or leverage the cycle time gains in the machine with on-line deburring.
Parts are placed on a conveyor and pass under the first planetary head, which consists of three brushes, all bathed in a constant spray of coolant to
deburr the top surface; a second planetary head and brushes
deburr the bottom surface; the part passes over a final demagnetizer before exiting the system.
