(46), [sin.sup.2] [beta]([cos.sup.2] [alpha] - [sin.sup.2] [alpha]), is calculated by making use of the fact that sin [beta] cos [alpha] is the first component of z, and sin [beta] sin [alpha] is the second:
= 1/3[[sin.sup.2] 0 [cos.sup.2] [phi] - [sin.sup.2] [theta] [sin.sup.2][phi] + [(cos [phi] cos [theta] cos [psi] - sin [phi] sin [psi]).sup.2] - [(sin [phi] cos [theta] cos [psi] + cos [phi] sin [psi]).sup.2] + [(cos [phi] cos [theta] sin [psi] + sin [phi] cos [psi]).sup.2] - [(sin [phi] cos [theta] sin [psi] - cos [phi] cos [psi]).sup.2]], (67)
