Udine

a city in northern Italy; capital of Udine Province, in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region. Population, 102,700 (1973). Local industry includes food processing, metalworking (including the manufacture of automobile chassis), ferrous metallurgy, and the production of cotton, glass, paper, leather, pharmaceuticals, and cement.
