Nazym

a river in Tiumen’ Oblast, RSFSR; a right tributary of the Ob’ River. It measures 422 km long and drains an area of 15,200 sq km. The Nazym rises in the Siberian Uvaly upland and flows southward; near the mouth it passes through Lake Narimanovskii Sor. It is fed chiefly by snow. High water lasts from May through October. The mean flow rate, measured 149 km from the mouth, is 58.9 cu m per sec. The river freezes in October and thaws in late April or in May.
