The soil treated with lime had the highest levels of pH, peroxidase activity, phenol oxidase activity and
invertase activity among all soil samples.
Comparing the performance of these enzymes, sucrose cleavage was predominantly catalyzed by acidic
invertase, followed by susy and neutral
invertase (Figure 4).
Trehalase, amylase and
invertase activities were significantly decreased in 4th and 6th instar larvae of both populations.

Invertase activity in fresh and processed honeys," Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, vol.
Honeys were preliminary characterized by determining their water content, electrical conductivity, specific rotation, and activity of
invertase as well as by visual and organoleptic testing (Table 3).
The
invertase activity was measured by reducing sugars of the reaction of 1 mL of extract, from 1 mL of a sucrose solution at 0.5 mg [mL.sup.-1] in acetate buffer pH 4.7, at 37[degrees]C, for 10 minutes.
Comparison of salt and drought stress effects on maize growth and yield formation with regard to acid
invertase activity in the kernels.
Major genes of cluster 4 were coexpressed with active genes for starch degradation (amylases, hexokinase, and
invertase) and sucrose synthesis (SPS and starch synthase), which indicates strong regulation of carbohydrate metabolism in HKI1532: SPS and starch synthase were suppressed in PC3 but expressed 7-fold to 8-fold higher in HKI1532.
Different physiological properties of yeast such as
invertase activity, flocculation, ethanol tolerance, hyperosmotic tolerance, temperature tolerance, and C[O.sub.2] production for a strain to be used as a commercial baker's were also analyzed [12, 13].
