Ethmoiditis

inflammation of the mucosa of the cellules of the ethmoid bone. Ethmoiditis is usually combined with an infection of the other paranasal sinuses. Symptoms include pain in the bridge of the nose and headache. Treatment for acute ethmoiditis is the same as for frontal and maxillary sinusitis. Chronic ethmoiditis is treated chiefly by surgery.
