Deller is a very important British artist, and he's done an enormous amount of good for civic pride in Manchester and in Britain generally," said Danny.

Deller said: "The phrase, 'Brian Epstein Died for You', though short, carries with it ideas of belief and self-sacrifice, two strong aspects of Christianity and, indeed, most mainstream religions.

Deller worked on the project with Rufus Norris, director of the National Theatre, and in collaboration with theatres across the country including Northern Stage in Newcastle.
It's also a reflection of the personal journey taken by Jeremy
Deller himself.
