To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox }} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
[edit ]I have offered my perspective. Consensus will be interesting and I shall enjoy watching it, but will only take part further there if I am asked a direct question.
Civilised disagreement is one of the things which makes Wikipedia great. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 18:51, 22 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
- No problem. And thank you for offering your thoughts. ~2026-39780-5 (talk) 19:15, 22 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
- The lack of emerging direction of the discussion is fascinating. 🇵🇸🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦🇵🇸 23:37, 23 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
- Maybe just a further sign it is a genuinely tricky edge case. It is curious that the one point we both agreed on is the one thing the two responses so far agree we should not do. I have seen some of these get relisted two or three times though so I guess we shall see. ~2026-39780-5 (talk) 23:59, 23 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
The redirect's history shows it was creating after correcting the capitalisation to "North West Kent". How is this not an obvious error? — An anonymous username, not my real name 23:09, 30 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
- User:An anonymous username, not my real name, the redirect was created by User:Kmay on 16 August 2007 [1]. It was only moved a year later by User:Katharineamy [2]. It is therefore not at all obvious that the action by User:Kmay was unintentional. That does not mean the redirect must remain, just that speedy is inappropriate. To delete list at WP:RFD. Remember the only advantage of speedy deletion over normal deletion is volume management, it is inferior in every other way. ~2026-39780-5 (talk) 23:14, 30 January 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
