Rock operas

[edit ]

Do you know if there are any other articles for rock opera albums with an accompanying story - ideally ones that have been out for a while and had plenty of editor eyes on them? If I'm going to clean up the TSO album article I'd like to make sure I'm following any established precedent in terms of formatting, so I can decide whether it just needs improved sourcing or a significant rewrite. Rather disappointing that no one has addressed it in 18 years! They aren't exactly unknown, though I suppose it is less popular than their other albums. Some others that spring to mind are 2112, The Protomen, Act II: The Father of Death, Act III: This City Made Us, The Wall and Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory - a lot of variety in the layouts to be sure! PBugaboo (talk) 07:03, 2 March 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
I don't know why I didn't think of checking The Wall. Duh!
I notice that also uses a single primary citation to support the plot section. Seems to be a reasonable standard. Can I suggest you add that into the articles for Acts I and II also? (I will be fixing the plain text citation on Last Night, lol.)
Thanks! ChompyTheGogoat (talk) 08:07, 2 March 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
Happy to help, and yes that’s a good idea - I’ll add a media citation to each. PBugaboo (talk) 10:30, 2 March 2026 (UTC) [reply ]
