Disambiguation link notification for May 29
[edit ]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Girls5eva, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Succession. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit ]Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Piano Sonata No. 11 (Mozart), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please see WP:SONGCOVER as well. DonIago (talk) 13:43, 20 November 2024 (UTC) [reply ]

DisamAssist Tool
[edit ]Hope you are doing well. I wanted to reach out because I noticed that you are also working on cleaning up disambiguation links using Wikipedia:DisamAssist. For me, it is a bit annoying having to click the skip button when choosing to pass over certain links, so I just made a user script that allows you to use the space bar to skip the current disambiguation page instead of the button itself.
Just wanted to share with you in case that's a pain point for you as well!
importScript('User:3602kiva/DisamAssist-Skip.js'); is the line of code to add onto the Special:MyPage/common.js page. It should not interfere with anything else.

- I have been working on cleaning up disambiguation links, but I haven't used that tool so far. I will look into it, thank you! Mravava (talk) 17:09, 7 September 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Inaccurate edit summary
[edit ]With this edit to Pluribus_(TV_series) you removed three working {{ill }} templates with the edit summary of removed interlanguage templates that don't work
.
I confirmed in preview, & upon my restoration, that the [d] links do work. Please note that Template:Interlanguage link#Link to Wikidata specifically explains how to do this. Peaceray (talk) 17:21, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- There are no entries for other languages when you click on those wikidata links. That's what I meant. There's no need for the templates to be there. Mravava (talk) 17:29, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- @Peaceray The interlanguage templates are supposed to link to the "Wikidata table of languages", which were empty in the three cases you mentioned. Mravava (talk) 17:51, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- That is a different matter than to have
removed interlanguage templates that don't work
. The links to Wikidata do work. At minimum, the red links should have been maintained. As WP:REDDEAL states,In general, a red link should be allowed to remain in an article if it links to a term that could plausibly sustain an article but for which there is no existing candidate article or article section under any name.
The existence as a Wikidata item usually means that there is some d:Wikidata:Notability & possibly notable on Wikipedia. - I advocate for the inclusion of using {{ill }} for Wikidata items because:
- It allows editors, who may want to create an article, access to a collection of information that may help in that effort.
- It allows readers to access more information about a person when there are biographical Identifiers.
- Peaceray (talk) 21:51, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- @Peaceray I admit I didn't describe my edit accurately. I still find that the Wikidata information on those subjects (not in general) isn't particularly relevant or helpful to the readers or editors, especially since they're at first redirected to an empty table of languages. The other Wikidata information is either obvious or uncited. But leaving the red links makes sense if the existence of those entries suggests notability.
- All in all, maybe we could ask for other editors' opinions on Talk:Pluribus (TV series). Thanks for explaining your reasoning. Mravava (talk) 12:36, 19 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Interesting. When I click on the
don Allan McLeod [wd], it takes me to Allan McLeod (Q26921699), & the first thing that I see is an abbreviated list of labels & a link forAll entered languages. If my display is wide enough I see a list of Wikimedia Projects on the right, with Wikipedia on top. In this case, all projects are currently blank for this Wikidata item. - Below that I see the Statements section, & below that I see Identifiers. If my display is narrower, instead of the Wikimedia Projects appearing to the right, they appear below the Identifiers.
- Are you seeing things in a different order?
- You are welcome to open a discussion on the talk page. I still maintain that at minimum these names should be red links. I also believe that it is useful for both editors & readers to navigate to the Identifiers for more information. In McLeod's case, one could then easily navigate to Allan McLeod at IMDb, on Plex, on Kinobox, & on Film.ru, which will allow the user to see a number of the films & television shows in which he appears, as well as that McLeod is also a writer & director. People are not going to get to that solely from a red link.
- I think of that as the extension of Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. Peaceray (talk) 17:34, 19 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- @Peaceray Actually it does seem that we're seeing things in a different order as clicking on the
dlink takes me to the tables at the very bottom of the page named: Wikipedia, Wikinews, Multilingual sites, etc. Then above that I see the Statements and Identifiers sections, and then at the top the abbreviated list you mentioned. Linking to that bottom section of tables makes sense to me as I expect the {{ill}} template to point to the table of Wikipedia links for the article in other languages. - I do think the Identifiers are somewhat useful, but not something that couldn't be brought up with a google search of the actor's name. I think to readers the Wikidata page would be unfamiliar and perhaps confusing to navigate.
- In any case, not a hill I want to die on so I'm fine with keeping the links for now. Mravava (talk) 14:38, 21 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

[edit ]Stop icon Your recent editing history at Pluribus (TV series) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war . This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.
If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page.
Just sending this to make you aware that you've unintentionally breached the rule, so you should self-revert to rectify it. Rambling Rambler (talk) 17:27, 13 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
