Reliable sources

[edit ]

planespotters.net is not a reliable source WP:RS. Please see WP:SPS and/or WP:UGC and feel free to ask if you have any questions. 10mmsocket (talk) 12:59, 5 July 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

July 2025

[edit ]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Buzz (Ryanair), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Danners430 tweaks made 22:37, 5 July 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

added a source which states that lauda, which is under the exact same group and operates the exact same way as buzz and malta air, uses fr. if you want another source, you can go on flightradar or any flight tracking softeware and look at any regularly scheduled buzz/malta air/lauda flight. Finlayy (talk) 22:54, 5 July 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
I checked and it clearly failed WP:V. Sorry but the source only mentioned Buzz at the very end and did not say anything about the callsign. 10mmsocket (talk) 06:40, 6 July 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Alexander Isak

[edit ]

Good Evening Finlayy,

Regarding the Alexander Isak situation what does this mean then " Consensus at Wikipedia articles may determine that the player should be reflected in the article as being a member of the team, even prior to an official announcement by the team." just to clear up the misconception from my end. thanks. Nxypr (talk) 00:10, 1 September 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Consensus generally takes days to weeks on talks pages to reach an agreement where an admin can make a ruling - generally based on my experience the club announcement comes way faster. No one ever really tries to start the talk because they know the club announcement will eventually come anyway. As we know, it's deadline day so we can really expect the club announcement within the next 18 hours. Hope I could be of help, thanks :) Finlayy (talk) 00:16, 1 September 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Football infobox live update

[edit ]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. Please only update statistics within the infobox of a footballer once the match the player was involved in has concluded. This is to help avoid the stats being updated again by another editor once the match has finished, and to avoid having to undo the update in the eventuality that the match is abandoned.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:59, 14 September 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit ]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page . If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 18 November 2025 (UTC) [reply ]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit ]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict , a topic designated as contentious . This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware }} template.
