"Halo" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008). Inspired by Ray LaMontagne's 2004 song "Shelter", "Halo" was written by Ryan Tedder, E. Kidd Bogart, and Beyoncé herself. The song is a pop power ballad, with lyrics describing a sublime love. The single won Best Song at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards, and was nominated for Record of the Year. "Halo" topped the singles charts of Brazil, Norway, and Slovakia, and reached the top five in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the US. Philip Andelman directed Beyoncé and actor Michael Ealy in the accompanying music video. The song was performed on the television show Glee and has been covered by many artists, including Florence and the Machine, Harper Blynn, and Westlife.

Wings poster
Wings is considered the first movie to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

The 1st Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honored the best films of 1927 and 1928 and took place on May 16, 1929, at a private dinner held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, California. AMPAS president Douglas Fairbanks hosted the show. Awards were created by Louis B. Mayer, founder of Louis B. Mayer Pictures Corporation. During the ceremony, the AMPAS presented Academy Awards in twelve categories. Some nominations were announced without reference to a specific film, such as for Ralph Hammeras and Nugent Slaughter, who received nominations in the now defunct category of Engineering Effects. Charlie Chaplin and Warner Brothers both received an Honorary Award. Winners in competition at the ceremony included Seventh Heaven and Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans , each receiving three awards, and Wings (poster pictured), receiving two awards.

The Michelin Guide debuted in Mexico in 2024. The guides have been published by the French tire company Michelin since 1900. They were designed as a guide to tell drivers about eateries they recommended to visit and to subtly sponsor their tires, by encouraging drivers to use their cars more and therefore need to replace the tires as they wore out. Over time, the stars that were given out started to become more valuable. Inspectors visited five statesBaja California, Baja California Sur, Nuevo León, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo – and the capital city, Mexico City. Sixteen restaurants earned one star, and two, Pujol and Quintonil (pictured), received two. No restaurant earned three stars.

Est omnino difficile iudicare inclusionis meritum cuiusdam rei in encyclopædia cum ratio sciendi quid populi referat incerta sit, sed nihilominus aliquid encyclopædiam dedecet

It is generally difficult to judge the worthiness of a particular topic for inclusion in an encyclopedia considering that there is no certain way to know what interests people, but some topics nevertheless are not fit for an encyclopedia.

This motto reflects the desire of these Wikipedians to be reluctant, but not entirely unwilling, to remove articles from Wikipedia.
