Template:LGBT in Australia → ? – Should be moved to either Template:LGBTIQ+ in Australia or Template:LGBTQ in Australia to be WP:CONSISTENT. The template header links to LGBTIQ+ people in Australia, however LGBTQ rights in Australia and LGBTQ history in Australia are also included in the template. मल्ल (talk) 17:02, 16 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
- Move to Template:LGBTQ people in Australia (1st choice – strong preference) or Template:LGBTQ in Australia (2nd choice). LGBTQ is an adjective and it should always be modifying something. "People" reasonably includes rights, history, and other topics. I didn't do a comprehensive search but similar templates I found were all named LGBTQ in Place so that would be acceptable for consistency but my preference is that all of these be moved to LGBTQ people in Place. Regarding the +, consensus has been to update LGBT titles to LGBTQ but not to use LGBTQ+ unless and until there is evidence that this usage is more widespread than LGBTQ. Many editors, myself included, prefer LGBTQ+ but to my knowledge it has not overtaken LGBTQ. The most recent discussion I could find on this is Wikipedia talk:WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies/Archive 80#LGBTQ to LGBTQ+ from 10 months ago but it's possible there are more recent discussions. —Myceteae 🍄🟫(talk) 21:56, 16 October 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
