The squinch predates Islam in the Near East
[edit ]So Islamic people can't have invented it.

San Giovanni photo
[edit ]Unlike the other two photos, the painting and lighting in "Squinch in the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, Italy" makes it quite unclear where the squinch is. I suggest to simply delete this picture. Викидим (talk) 07:11, 16 December 2025 (UTC) [reply ]
