Has any consideration been given to the amalgamation of the scottish regiments of the british army into the royal regoment of scotland? afaik this occurred in 2006. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.196.101.178 (talk) 21:35, 9 April 2009 (UTC) [reply ]

92nd (Gordon Highlanders)

[edit ]

No mention is made of one of the most well known Scottish regiments having existed before before the Childers reforms of 1881.

It might be understandable to omit the 75th (Stirling Highlanders) as they only briefly recruited in Scotland for the East India Company, before relocating to Southerm Emgland, but to fail to recognise the service of the 92nd during the 100 years before the Childers reforms is in error. 86.166.7.136 (talk) 15:05, 18 December 2017 (UTC) [reply ]

Coldstream Guards

[edit ]

Shouldn't they be included here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.254.229.162 (talk) 23:05, 2 April 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Specific dates needed

[edit ]

This article verges on useless because is provides specific dates for nearly nothing, and instead has vague hand-waving like "18th century". SMcCandlish ¢ 😼 09:04, 18 May 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
