I haven't yet done a full, thorough read-through but The Quingnam language became extinct shortly after the arrival of the conquistadors. Miguel Feyjoo [wikidata] reported that in 1763, the language had already become extinct in favor of Spanish stood out to me. 1763 isn't shortly after the Spanish conquest, and Feyjoo just establishes that the language had gone extinct sometime before then. Done reading over things and taking notes. I really liked this article! I'll have more to say in a bit/when I get organized and look over the GA criteria more closely. For now, the "Spanish vocabulary" subsection near the end seems overly-detailed, a lot of it is relevant to the source being described but not to the Quingnam language.
