Thematic bias in article

So far, the writer of the article has chosen to focus pretty much exclusively on gender issues as reflected in Jordan's body of work. While this is obviously a central theme for a few of Jordan's films, I would argue that his Irishness, his links to his homeland, and especially his controversial (for some Irish) biographical film, Michael Collins, are more consistently present in his work, and much more important. As well, the article could do with a good deal more commentary on Jordan's relationship to commercial film-making, his typically shuttling back and forth between commercial and more personal projects. Film-makers today are usually one or the other, that is, commercial film-makers or personal ones, thus, Jordan's ability to keep a foot in both camps is unusual, and worthy of discussion. Incorrect Sentence

"He has not had a major hit since Vampire,..."

Not true, The Brave One went to #1 at the US Box Office in 2007 and did well worldwide. This is an unfortunate example of Wikipedia being either inaccurate or out-of-date and unchanged. I removed the sentence. TempDog (talk) 18:24, 22 August 2009 (UTC) [reply ]
