Olandria Lashae Carthen (born May 29, 1998) is an American model,[1] [2] influencer,[3] [4] and television personality.[5] [6] She appeared on the seventh season of Love Island USA in 2025, where she finished as a runner-up.

Early life and education

Olandria[7] was born on May 29, 1998, in Decatur, Alabama.[8] [9] [10] She is the eldest sibling of two younger sisters and three younger brothers. She attended Tuskegee University, initially studying computer science before graduating with a bachelor's degree in logistics, materials and supply chain management. Olandria later worked as an elevator saleswoman.[8]

Career

On May 29, 2025, Olandria was announced as a contestant on the seventh season of Love Island USA .[11] She finished as the runner-up alongside Nic Vansteenberghe.[12] [13] During the season, she received media attention for discussions surrounding representation, particularly as a dark-skinned Black woman,[14] as well as for her relationship with Vansteenberghe,[15] referred to by fans as "Nicolandria" and described by CNN as "a cultural phenomenon".[10] [16] [17]

Following her appearance on Love Island USA, Olandria signed with United Talent Agency and gained millions of followers across social media platforms.[5] [18] Her newfound fame allowed her to launch partnerships and campaigns with high profile brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, NYX Cosmetics, Sephora, Amazon, Visa, Microsoft, and Hyundai. [14] [19] [20] [21] She modeled in UGG's global "Fluff Momma" campaign and Reebok's Angel Reese 1 campaign.[22] [23] She also served as the face of Barbie's "You Can Be Any Barbie" campaign at Coachella [24] and Poppi's 2026 summer campaign.[25] Ad Age named her one of the top five breakout creators of 2025[26] [27] and she was included in Cosmopolitan 's Z-Stars Class of 2025.[28]

In September 2025, Olandria made her runway debut at the Sergio Hudson Spring/Summer 2026 show during New York Fashion Week [29] [30] and was featured by Vogue following her red carpet debut at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.[31] In November 2025, she attended the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards and the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.[32]

Olandria has spoken publicly about higher education and career development.[26] She partnered with Microsoft Copilot to highlight the history of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).[33] In October 2025, she advocated for the importance of higher education at the Her Conference "Butterfly Tour" stop at Texas A&M University [34] and spoke about career longevity at ZCON in Los Angeles.[35]

In November 2025, Olandria won the EBONY People's Choice Award at the 2025 EBONY Power 100 Gala and appeared on the cover of the magazine's 2025 Power Issue alongside other honorees.[36] [37] [38] She was also named to The Root 100,[39] [4] Adweek 's Creative 100,[40] and included in the Revolt Power List in the Creators category.[41]

Olandria was featured on Glamour's December 2025 holiday cover with her boyfriend Vansteenberghe.[42] She appeared on the December 2025 digital cover of Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, marking her first solo magazine cover,[43] [44] and made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in the magazine's 2026 issue.[45] [1] [46]

During the 2026 awards season, Olandria attended the 83rd Golden Globe Awards and the Vanity Fair Oscar party.[47] [48] She also attended the premiere of Bridgerton season four in Paris.[49]

In January 2026, Olandria made her Paris Haute Couture Week debut and was featured by W Magazine during the fashion week.[50] She attended shows by Valentino, Robert Wun, and Rahul Mishra.[51] [52] [53] [54] She made her Milan Fashion Week debut in February 2026, attending fashion shows by Roberto Cavalli, Blumarine, and GCDS.[55] [56]

In May 2026, Olandria collaborated with Brandon Blackwood on her first-ever fashion collection.[57] The three designer bags, each inscribed with her signature, were launched on May 27, and sold out in ten minutes.[58] [59]

Personal life

Olandria and Nicolas Vansteenberghe remain in a relationship as of May 2026.[13]
