Legin was a Chinese restaurant in Portland, Oregon, United States.[1] [2] [3] It operated from 1995 to 2012.[4]
Description
[edit ]The restaurant was located at the intersection of Division Street and 82nd Avenue, in the southeast Portland part of the Montavilla neighborhood.[5] It served traditional Chinese cuisine including barbecue duck and dim sum.[6] [7] Willamette Week described the restaurant's interior as "valley-girl 1980s pink".[8]
History
[edit ]Legin closed in 2012 for the expansion of Portland Community College; it is being replaced by the Legin Apartments.[9] [10] The restaurant was documented in Behind the Wok, a digital archive from Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon.[4] [11] [12]

To get the ball rolling, though, PCC officials this summer bought the Kaiser Permanente clinic, Legin Restaurant and German American Society of Portland buildings, which all abut the campus to the west. PCC spokesman Dana Haynes said the owners approached the school. The buildings are being leased back to the owners at below-market rates, he said. The landmark Chinese restaurant, for example, pays PCC 33,000ドル a year.
