Algonomy Software Private Limited is a privately held retail technology company headquartered in San Francisco, California, with major operations in Bengaluru, India. It provides AI-driven decisioning software for consumer businesses across eCommerce, Marketing, Merchandising, and Supply Chain functions, and serves over 400 brands in more than 20 countries.[1]
History
[edit ]Algonomy was formed through the merger of two retail technology firms:
- Manthan Software – A Bengaluru-based cloud analytics and AI company.
- RichRelevance – A San Francisco-based experience personalization platform.
On November 5, 2019, the two companies announced a joint go-to-market strategy and a path toward consolidation. The merger was completed on January 19, 2021, and the combined entity was rebranded as Algonomy.[2] [3]
In January 2022, Algonomy acquired Linear Squared, a Colombo-based AI firm specializing in demand planning and forecasting, to strengthen its supply chain capabilities.[4]
Leadership
[edit ]Atul Jalan, founder of Manthan Software, serves as the founder and CEO of Algonomy.[5]

[edit ]- Grupo Comercial Chedraui (September 2025): Algonomy's Active Content Works Alongside Grupo Comercial Chedraui to Drive Dynamic Content Personalization of its Marketing Campaigns.
- Databricks (January 2026): Announced a "Built On" collaboration with Databricks for AI-led retail planning, including demand forecasting and assortment optimization.
