Aircall was founded in 2014 in Paris by Olivier Pailhès, Jonathan Anguelov, Pierre-Baptiste Béchu, and Xavier Durand [2] . The company was created within Hexa (formerly eFounders), a startup studio focused on incubating software-as-a-service companies.

In 2016, Aircall raised an 8ドル million Series A round led by Balderton Capital with participation from FJ Labs and Newfund [2] . Aircall later raised a 29ドル million Series B in 2018 and a 65ドル million Series C in 2020 [1] . In June 2021, Aircall raised a 120ドル million Series D led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management [3] , reaching a valuation above 1ドル billion, making Aircall the sixteenth French technology unicorn [1] .

In December 2023, Scott Chancellor was appointed chief executive officer, succeeding co-founder Olivier Pailhès[1] . Chancellor previously served as chief executive officer of Humu until its acquisition by Perceptyx in 2023 [1] . Earlier in his career, Chancellor spent more than seven years at Amazon Web Services, where he founded and led the AWS Insights organization as General Manager.[4]

Aircall provides a cloud-based voice and messaging platform delivered through web, desktop, and mobile applications. According to Forbes Advisor and TechRadar, the platform includes call management features such as routing, queuing, interactive voice response (IVR), and messaging capabilities.[6] . The platform provides application programming interfaces (APIs) and supports integration with customer relationship management and helpdesk systems [6]

In 2025, Aircall launched an AI Voice Agent designed to help businesses handle calls outside standard business hours.[1] . According to Business News Daily, Aircall provides AI-powered features such as call summaries and sentiment analysis [6]
