AIM Computer Solutions, Inc. is an American software company that develops enterprise resource planning (ERP), electronic data interchange (EDI), and supply chain automation software for automotive production part suppliers and other discrete manufacturers. The company specializes in software designed to support automotive manufacturing operations, including barcode labeling, order management, and shipping processes aligned with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements.
Founded in 1991,[1] AIM Computer Solutions serves automotive suppliers across North America,[2] including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company operates as an independent subsidiary of Valsoft Corporation following its acquisition in 2022.[3]
History
[edit ]AIM Computer Solutions was founded in 1991 to develop software solutions tailored to the operational and compliance requirements of automotive manufacturers and their suppliers. From its inception, the company focused on automotive EDI, barcode labeling, and shipping processes supporting OEM and Tier 1–3 supplier mandates.
Over time, AIM expanded its product portfolio beyond EDI into ERP and manufacturing execution capabilities. The company's software evolved to include embedded automotive business logic supporting cumulative accounting (CUM), just-in-time (JIT) and Kanban shipping, AIAG-compliant labeling, and advanced shipment notification (ASN) processing.
In February 2022, AIM Computer Solutions was acquired by Valsoft Corporation, a Canada-based company that acquires and operates vertical market software businesses. Following the acquisition, AIM became part of Valsoft's Aspire Software portfolio and continues to operate independently.
