Each episode of Bad Gays explores the story of a complicated queer person in history.

Lemmy and Miller also wrote a book, Bad Gays: A Homosexual History based on the podcast. It is available in hardcover, paperback, e-book, and audiobook and is published by Verso Books.[1]

The Advocate listed Bad Gays in its 2023 list of "Five Gloriously Gay Podcasts You Need To Listen To."[2] Bad Gays was also reviewed by Vice Media,[3] Another Magazine ,[4] Vox Media,[5] The Washington Post ,[6] and The Boar.[7]
