User talk:Gatwick Taxi Transfer
If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard .
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. Request reason:I added a link to a business I'm affiliated with to a page. I didn't think through how this would look under Wikipedia's advertising and promotion guidelines before making that edit — it wasn't a considered attempt to spam the site, but I understand now that it violates the
policy regardless of intent, and I shouldn't have done it. What is your relationship with the subjects you have been editing about?I am affiliated with the business I linked to in my edit. I have no
other paid-editing relationship with any subject on Wikipedia. If you are unblocked, what topic areas will you edit in?I'd like to make general, neutral contributions unrelated to any business I'm affiliated with — for example minor copyedits, fixing broken citations, or adding sourced information to articles on topics I have a genuine personal interest in. I will not create or edit any content about, or add any link to, my own business or any business
I'm connected to. Is there anything else that may be helpful to your unblock request?I understand why the block was applied and accept it was justified. I'm requesting a new, non-business username as required by the username policy, and I confirm I will not repeat the promotional edit or use Wikipedia to link to or promote any business going
forward. Gatwick Taxi Transfer (talk) 07:31, 3 August 2026 (UTC) ReplyAdministrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).

- I am not enthused about either of the proposed usernames; New_Username_Here is potentially confusing, and BlueSky_London happens to be the name of a company: https://bluesky-londonhomes.co.uk/ That could of course, be a coincidence, but I would prefer a different username. - Renamer note: Please amend your rename request to one that is not a company name. If you are thinking of using your real name as the new username, please read WP:REALNAME first. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 00:10, 4 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
