Ádám Borics (born July 7, 1993) is a Hungarian Mixed Martial Arts fighter. He is currently the Featherweight champion at the Hungarian Fighting Championship (HFC),organization of MMA, additionally he contests on fighting events organized by Final Fight Championship
Early life
[edit ]Ádám Borics was born in Sirok (Eger, Hungary). He moved to Eger after secondary school (high school AmE) to emphasize the importance of training sessions and to fulfill it in practice. He continues the university studies in Budapest at the University of Physical Education. He presently lives in Eger with his girlfriend Zsófi (Sophia).
Mixed martial arts career
[edit ]Early career
[edit ]Ádám Borics familiarized himself with martial arts at the age of 16. He started with thai box and kempo karate workouts and afterwards he became the member of Eger Shootfighters Klub. He improves there his MMA skills and knowledge since then. He fought on his first B category full contact kempo competition after only three months long Shootfighters-trainings. Then he went on kempo B full and A full competitions as well. After his first kempo competition, i.e. after 15 months, he debut on MMA amateur tournament, where he knocked out within 11 seconds his 9 kilograms (20 Lbs) heavier opponent.
Hungarian Fighting Championship
[edit ]Borics fought on his first professional MMA competition in August 2014. He got opportunity amongst HFC 5 tournaments. Borics won the 4-person tournament in October, when he became entitled to fight for the vacant featherweight title against Benjamin Molnár. He prevailed on the title match in December 2014 and he was initiating champion, though, the catharsis was behindhand. The combat was finished in the fourth round because of the prohibited technique used by Molnár. As a result of TOTALDAMAGE Magazine’s poll, Borics became the MMA Prospect of the Year in 2014, The Fighter of the Year furthermore the Borics vs Molnár became the Match of the Year. There were no doubts who is better on his first defending champion in September 2015; he forced Benjamin Molnár to tap on the floor, so after the second round he successfully protected his title on the HCF defending champion in Zalaegerszeg.
Final Fighting Championship
[edit ]He debut on FFC gala in March 2015 as a late surrogate (after 4 days of preparation) against Marko Burusic, though, he won by scoring. Ádám’s dynamism still persisted; he fought on the FFC event in Sarajevo, in October 2015. Despite the fact that he was ill and the game was a tight Borics again triumphed. In March 2016 Borics won his third fight against Manuel Bilic via submission.
Trainings
[edit ]Borics regularly visits the Gracie Barra Hungary BJJ trainings in Budapest beside the Eger Shootfighters’ ones. His training partners at Twins Gym Budapest and Red Coner Fight Club Budapest are the former FFC lightweight champion Viktor Halmi, the current FFC welterweight champion László Sényei and the HFC welterweight champion Ádám Polgár. Furthermore he maintains a good friendship with the M-1 Global featherweight champion Iván ‘Buki’ Buchinger. Iván supports and helps Ádám’s fighting progression within training sessions in Slovak Republic. Borics participated in the training camp together with the team of MMA Spirit in Frankfurt in the summer of 2015 and 2016. In Frankfurt he had chance to train together with Iván Buchinger and in the company of Daniel Weichel, Stephan Pütz, Max Coga and Saba Bolaghi.
