Entomophagy/Insectivore/Entomophagy in humans/Insects as food; at least one of these is not needed, insectivore is the normal term for non-humans (akin to copulation)

Junk timelines; anything in Category:Pages using the EasyTimeline extension with a taxobox

  • Giardia duodenalis; not clear how medical community arrived at using the species name. One name (I think Giardia lamblia) doesn't appear in the source to which authorship is ascribed

Pseudomugil mellis move to Honey blue-eye; vernacular name usually unhyphenated? other moves by Casliber

Category stuff: Category:Maple, [1], [2], Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2020_July_17#Category:Castanea

Redirects to Bleating tree frog

  • Cactinae; unrecognized subtribe, delete?
  • Pirum (genus), what dab term to use here? should (protist) be used?
  • d:Q1823103 and Oscillaria; three different names (authorship) across databases in Wikidata, and another author on the Wikipedia article (wrong author for the diatom and not in any Wikidata link, but likely has priority under one of the codes).

Cavernicola (suborder)/Cavernicola (worm)]]; move back to (worm)? Most incoming links go there

Diaspore (botany) needs serious work

Giardini Botanici di Stigliano, Harland Hand Memorial Garden; dubious notability

SMHBZ8; treat as species as NCBI does or as infraspecific taxon (i.e. virus)?

Cintractiellaceae; 2 genera? apparently unplaced to class in 2020 study

Geosmithia putterillii; split? Not clear this is the sole cause of foamy bark canker

Mycena luteopallens listed as a sensu synonym at Mycena crocea, actual species is now a Hygrocybe?

Helicobasidiales/Helicobasidiaceae monotypic order

Merge Hysteriales to Hysteriaceae

Sporidiobolales monotypic order

Septobasidiales monotypic order, needs fix on Wikidata

Virophage is a single family, but Phaeocystis globosa virus virophage is not a member (the first known virophage that isn't a member)

Black mildew probably should be a DAB

GA Plectania nannfeldtii needs move

Linked synonyms in Homo erectus and redirects to Tighennif

Sphaerella; algae/fungus/plant homonym (priority apparently in that order), redirects to plant

Sea trout was using biota infobox; use for other morpha taxa?

Kickxellomycota; monotypic with Kickxellomycotina; use division title and drop subdivision?

Hybogasteraceae monotypic to species

Hyphochytriomycetes "fungal" protists, need automatic taxoboxes

Skeletocutis species; taxobox and text disagree about family

Volvocisporium; not monotypic

Rickenellaceae is accepted

Tubarieae; is this a clade of some sort? Several Google results for the term that are probably coming from (unlinked) use in Wikipedia articles

Cyathocline; Inuleae in GCD, Astereae everywhere else (iNat, NCBI, GRIN, Wikispecies)

Vernoniopsis; junior homonym

Tar spot; dab links

Hemicidaroida; set as synonym? deal with links

Kickxellaceae; move order to family name and check redirects at higher ranks

Category:Zygomycota; split and unlink Zygomycota

Asellariales move to Asellariaceae

Zoopagomycota needs article

Mucoromycotina; subdivisions need update

Oroxylum; monotypic genus

Helminthostachys zeylanica; genus is now monotypic

Chilodontidae (gastropods); replace incoming links

Columbellidae incertae sedis mariato; what is this?

Mud whelk; make into SIA/DAB?

  • "Nodopelta heminoda is a non-documented species." WTF does that mean? (Ganeshbot article, are there others with this phrase?)

TOL articles that had manual taxoboxes: Orthokaryotes (Category:Orthokaryotes), Neokaryotes, Parakaryon, Eocyte hypothesis (Karyota), Metakaryota

Neko-chan automatic taxoboxes for plants: Grindelia camporum, Lesquerella, Centratherum, Phacellothrix, Scabrethia, Vicoa, Greengage, Calamovilfa longifolia, Didelta, Grindelia nana, Lasiocephalus, Lasiocephalus ovatus, Kumlienia, Crypsis (genus), Crypsis vaginiflora, Festuca brevipila, Filago vulgaris, popcorn

  • Cherry tomato treating as a varietas doesn't seem justified but many taxonbar sources do so. Essentially nothing recognizing as a cultivar group (1 paper and various citations of that paper)
  • Psidium oligospermum is widespread in Neotropics, article describes a Galapagos endemic (now introduced elsewhere). Article was moved without an update.

Template:Taxonomy/Protozoa should be deprecated

Terrestrial gastropod should redirect to Terrestrial mollusc, not Terrestrial animal. Also Marine (ocean) (mostly linked from gastropods) and marine animal

Leiurus/Deathstalker; deathstalker should probably be the genus (formerly monotypic), and the species article needs revision (now restricted to Egypt and Sudan)

  • Cirsium greimleri; font color usage is wrong and much else is bizarre. Is the 1895 illustration this species?
  • Arca mailleana; uncertain, unassessed in WoRMS, not linked from higher taxon
  • Synaphea oulopha had some incorrect statements sourced to Selina Wamucci (family Asteraceae, range outside of Western Australia). Need to keep checking that Selina Wamucci doesn't get cited.
  • Reichenbachia monotypic, needs a redirect for the species and speciesbox
  • Piptospatha; image is a species no longer included in genus, check usage on other wikis
  • Idionyx is family incertae sedis according to World Odonata List; not sure where quote on Synthemestidae came from
  • Apicomplexans with no taxonbar sources: Gregarina garnhami (established as a non-synonym in a 2021 publication, article was created in 2020); Eimeria fraterculae, listed here as only Eimeria of Alcidae, so seems likely to be a good species based on host specificity
  • Atolla jellyfish title is generic for anything in the genus, and other common names are just descriptions. Needs move and rewrite. Giant squid doesn't belong in lead (can be summarized "a lure with lights inspired by its bioluminescent display was employed in the first(?) film footage of a giant squid (first at full depth?).

Mimophrissoma livingstonei should redirect somewhere else, and maybe Mimophrissoma too

  • Printzia pyrifolia; iNat vernacular name is "fire printzia". Is this a mistranslation of "pyr"?
  • Wetland virus; no virusbox, not clear if this is going to be designated as a species or what

Interesting Hoser stuff: [3], [4], [5]

  • Mordella; 500+ species that are pretty dubious. I've skipped doing speciesboxes for them all. Mordellina notes species that are basically only sourced to Joel Hallan's Biology Catalog, which looks like it was mostly a work in progress (synonymy very sparse for many genera).
  • Mainspace dab Diura chronus is still kind of messy, and linked Wikidata item is not appropriate
  • Xouba, is this just a Galician name for European pilchard, or is there something to say about it's role in culture and cuisine?
  • Isolepis carinata image may be wrong (from a book of British plant, but species is native to US. There is a homonym)
  • Beetle manual taxoboxes checked to T, excluding Mordella and Mordellina per above (and another genus starting with N that had subgenera?). Sybra huge and not done past M.
  • Megalodontes bucephalus; says it is a dubious species, but no reason given that makes sense. Photo is taken outside of its range.
  • Common swift moth; not sure "moth" is really part of the name. "Common swift" is also a bird.
  • Dalandan; is this a distinct orange, or just a local name for something already covered in another article?

{{Amphibians }} is fucking useless

  • Methone (moth), my creation, wrong disambiguation (it's a butterfly), was there ever an incoming link?
  • sand slug; primary meaning seems to be a sedimentary deposit
  • Ornixolinae; check status, and set as parent to appropriate genera
  • Perixera; maybe better claim in other source for recognizing this than Wikipedia is presenting
  • Domestic mink; not sure this has been formally named as a subspecies; authorship date of 2010 is suspect
  • Spanish mackerel; scope is a tribe with only a few species called Spanish mackerel
  • Ramphocinclus; need better source for species list; IOC split proposal doesn't technically enumerate all species
  • {{Life on Earth }}; poorly named, mix of common names and scientific names. Went through TfD once and survived but should probably be deleted
  • Haemophilus paraphrophilus sad stub with no references since 2009. Now a synonym on LPSN (and likely has been for awhile), with nothing but gnomy turdpolishing (none of it mine, but it could've been if I'd prioritized color=lightgrey)
  • Haloferacaceae; stopping bacteria search for now; productive family for archaea automatic taxoboxes
  • [6] capitalized automatic Taxobox and |name=
  • [7] lowercase subdivision ranks
  • Govenia floridana has two conservation status, and |extinct=, showing same date for both statuses. Both sources do mention the date, but this is not something that is necessarily the case

  • Fissidens; species list needs update (much of it is hidden text)
  • Balearean boc; animal that gives scientific name at variety rank, no taxobox
  • Robertgurneya Wikidata item a mess? WoRMS has two records with different authors, Lang is invalid
  • Update isopod classification; Epicaridea to suborder, etc.
  • Update amphipod classification; Senticaudata as suborder, Gammarida as infraorder, clear out Category:Gammaridea
  • Lekanesphaera; turn "cladogram" into species list, remove questionable photo, spin out rugicauda section to article on species
  • Monolistra; flags for range are stupid; probably more of these where Stemonitis merged shit
  • Amphionidacea; formerly recognized monotypic taxon; who recognized it?
  • Macrophthalmus split, species list needs update and some articles need to be moved
  • ensure the small number of redirecting scientific names are in subcategories of Category:Crabs; done subcategories alphabetically to (but not through) Category:Ocypodoidea
  • Popcorn taxobox; is there a cultivar group name for this?
  • Cimomia species list uses abbreviated binomials that go to dab pages or the wrong place
  • Dwarf catshark; ambiguous, both species deepwater and with ~1 pageview/day
  • Erigeron acer; delink, tag other redirects, sort out merged Wikidata item
  • spideridentifications.com AI site ala Selina Wamucii, also propagate.one
  • Naiadita not monotypic on Tropicos or Bryonames (and family isn't monotypic on Tropicos, but paper validating family name doesn't mention any other genera/species)
  • Carsidaridae, circumscription followed by Wikipedia with Homotomidae included as a subfamily isn't followed by taxonomic databases (it's based on a 2021 publication)
  • {{Taxonomy/Etainia }}; the artiopod is a junior homonym, shouldn't have undisambiguated template title
  • User:Sajankc; edits for species they described. Is the authority Sajan or KC?
  • Laciniata; Hemiptera genus, not sure why it points to a plant species (possibly a subspecies?)

{{Taxonomy/Incertae sedis }} is weird and should probably deleted (rank is "unranked")

  • Hedera crebrescens lead needs rewrite; it's not invasive everywhere, where is it native to?

Ovenbird (family) with ovenbirds redirect vs. ovenbird with oven-bird and oven bird redirects vs. Ovenbird (disambiguation)

  • {{Tx }} and {{Txil }} are barely used, are they needed?
  • Eogyrinidae merged to order with no rationale. Recreate article? It has links from taxonomy templates.
  • Mastigimatidae should eventually get an article (unless sources move to synonymize it)
  • Dek Akeo; Ugandan common name for an edible plant, merge?
  • Domin redirects to a disambiguation page
