Usage

|date = Date of the match. Format: D Month YYYY
|time = Match kick off time. Local time in 24 hour format with time zone and UTC linked.
|team1 = Team 1 (normally home team)
|points1 = Points scorers for team 1 (Option instead of using following five parameters)
|try1 = Try scorers for team 1
|goal1 = Goal kickers for team 1
|drop1 = Drop-goal kickers for team 1 (Northern Hemisphere)
|field1 = Field goal kickers for team 1 (Southern Hemisphere)
|gfm1 = Goals from mark for team 1
|score = Scoreline e.g. 25 – 18 (home team score goes first)
|report = External (or sometimes internal) link to a report of the game (optional)
|team2 = Team 2 (normally away team)
|points2 = Points scorers for team 2 (Option instead of using following five parameters)
|try2 = Try scorers for team 2
|goal2 = Goal kickers for team 2
|drop2 = Drop-goal kickers for team 2 (Northern Hemisphere)
|field2 = Field goal kickers for team 2 (Southern Hemisphere)
|gfm2 = Goals from mark for team 2
|stadium = Stadium and city
|attendance = Attendance for the match (optional). Use ≈ before the number if the attendance was given as an approximation in source.
|referee = Referee for the match (optional). Include nationality when used for international matches
|referee2 = If a dual referee system is used e.g. in NRL matches 2009–2021 (optional)
|touch = Names of touch judge(s) (optional). Include nationality when used for international matches
|manofmatch = Player of the Match (optional)
|potmaward = Insert named "Player of the match award" e.g [[Clive Churchill Medal]] 
|potmwinner = Player of the Match (when used with named award parameter)
