[edit ]Why was this moved from the correct and long-established name at Dual mass flywheel to a hyphenated form at Dual-mass flywheel? This is a neologism against WP:COMMONNAME and is not supported by any of the trade press or manufacturers of such flywheels. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:09, 6 February 2017 (UTC) [reply ]
- MOS:HYPHEN. WP doesn't follow the [mis]spelling conventions of auto mechanics. Please review the meaning of neologism ; it has nothing to do with properly hyphenating compound adjectives. - It was moved as "clarify the meaning, per sources)" - yet the sources treat it as a proper noun phrase, i.e. Dual Mass Flywheel, capitalised and unhyphenated. This form is WP's own creation, and against commonname. I know that WP practice is to do this for capitalisation, but is that now extended to inserting hyphens? If so, why have COMMONNAME at all?
