Beer Bong Incident
[edit ]The implication that the "beer bong" incident with John Kerry had any significant role in increasing the public's awareness of the device is a spurious claim. Top search engine results for "beer bong" do not include primary references to the Kerry incident. The incident itself resulted in a photograph that very briefly made the news and then faded into history, to be forgotten by most. - It doesn't say that it did do that. Nonetheless, the incident was extensively covered by reliable sources. Remember also that articles should be content preserving (WP:PRESERVE); i.e. nothing should be deleted that belongs in a finished and complete article.
