Alexandra Leigh McCarthy (known as Sandie) is a New Zealand nursing academic and as of September 2018 she was a full professor at the University of Auckland.[1] [2]
Academic career
[edit ]After a 2005 PhD titled 'A rebellious distemper : a Foucaultian history of breast cancer to 1900' at the Queensland University of Technology, she moved to the University of Auckland, rising to full professor.[1] In early 2017 she was appointed head of the University School of Nursing.[2]
