Samen Rural District (Persian: دهستان سامن) is in Samen District of Malayer County, Hamadan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Kahkadan.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 7,114 in 1,844 households.[5] There were 6,687 inhabitants in 2,003 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,396 in 1,759 households. The most populous of its 21 villages was Kahkadan, with 2,230 people.[2]
