Karam Lehal (born Karam Sukhbir Singh; 10 February 1994) is an Indian skeet shooter.[1] He has represented India at the ISSF World Cup and the ISSF World Shooting Championship.[2] [3] He won a team gold medal and an individual bronze medal at the 2014 Junior Asian Shotgun Championship.[4] He has also won medals at the National Games and the National Shooting Championship.[5] [6]
Early life
[edit ]Lehal was born on 10 February 1994 in Sangrur, Punjab, India.[7]
Career
[edit ]In 2013, Lehal was selected to the Indian skeet team for the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.[8]
In 2014, Lehal represented India at the ISSF World Shooting Championship in Granada, Spain.[9] Later that year, he won a team gold medal and an individual bronze medal at the Junior Asian Shotgun Championship in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.[10] He won the junior men's skeet title and the junior men's skeet team title at the 58th National Shooting Championship Competitions held in Patiala.[11] [12]
In 2015, Lehal won a bronze medal in the men's skeet event at the National Games in Kerala.[13] He represented India in the men's skeet event at the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea.[14] He also won the men's team title at the 2015 Inter-University Shooting Championship held at Punjabi University.[15]
Later that year, Lehal, along with Angad Vir Singh Bajwa and Gurjoat Siingh, won the silver medal in the men's skeet team event at the 59th National Shooting Championship Competitions held in Jaipur.[16]
In 2019, Lehal, along with Angad Vir Singh Bajwa and Gurjoat Siingh, won the team gold medal in the men's skeet event at the 63rd National Shooting Championship Competitions.[17] He also won the silver medal in the skeet mixed team event with Ganemat Sekhon.[18]
In 2020, Lehal finished third in the men's skeet event at the second National Shotgun Selection Trials held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.[19]
In 2021, Lehal was selected to represent India at the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi.[20] [21]
